Medicinal cannabis is indicated in cases such as:

- in nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy or radiation therapy for cancer or infection with the AIDS virus.
- as an appetite stimulant in cases of anorexia or severe weight loss of patients who undergoing treatments for cancer or AIDS.
The prescription of the final product concerns patients who do not respond to the proposed treatment regimens, in cases where these are not well tolerated by the patient or are contraindicated.
